Have I told you what a great daughter I have?

I am so proud of my daughter. She's a senior in high school, and taking classes for college credit (health technologies). She is such a kind and caring person with a great heart. She is doing better with her college classes than her regular ones, probably because it interests her more. She wants to work in that field.
I remember when she was about 3 or 4 years old ... and Marcus was very sick. He had a very bad infection, and a very high fever that came along with it. He just felt terrible. He and Miranda were very close then, and always seemed to be looking out for each other. Marcus's fever was up to about 103, and he was having chills, and it was about 85 degrees outside. He felt like he couldn't get warm enough. As fast as the fever came on along with everything else, I knew I had to call the doctor right away.
While I was on the phone with the nurse who was telling me what to do (not to cover him up first of all), Marcus was lying on the couch just shivering ... teeth chattering and all. He asked Miranda to get him the sheet that was at the end of the couch. Like the loving sister she always has been, she did. Seeing that it was not helping to warm him, she then got the throw blanket for him, and covered him up and tucked it all around him. The poor boy was still shaking and shivering, so she went into her bedroom (right next to the living room at the time), and covered him with her bedspread ... then her blanket, then her top sheet, then her bottom sheet, and then finally, as I was hanging up the phone, and turned around she was walking out of her room with her bed skirt ( summoning her little girl super strength - she pulled it out from between the mattress and box spring of her "big girl bed").
I asked why she was doing that, and she said "because he asked me to, and look at him Mommy, he looks so cold". I tried to explain why it wasn't good for him to be all bundled up when he had such a high fever while I was undoing all of her hard work - looking at that sweet little round face, I could tell she didn't really understand though. She has done so much to help him all these years - they're both young adults now. Whenever he is sick, he still calls for her assistance, and comfort. Although, I can't remember a sweeter moment at this time.
She is still a very caring, compassionate person, and I am very confident she will do well with whatever she wants to accomplish.

My First Blog Ever ?

Ok, my first blog ever ... I guess I'm not a virgin anymore - I have two children, and now I'm posting my first blog ever - what else is there. Well, I guess it's my first blog ever posted on Blogger, because I have a website that I've posted blogs on - about business and such. But that's a different blog topic.
Since this is my first blog here , I guess I'll start by explaining my title. It was a toss up between my two cents (as in my short opinion) - not very original. And my two scents ( still not very original, but slightly more unique than the previous, and may also convey my love of scented candles), but I have way more than two fav. scents, thus the spelling "too".
Well, I love scented candles. I burn them, or melt them every day. I am not even kidding. Every single day, I have some scent or other burning / melting somewhere in my house. To me, a day without a candle is a day to stay in bed. Candles can set your mood for anything. Candles are my answer for everything. Feeling lethargic, light a candle ... feeling anxious, light a candle ... having the girls over for margaritas, better light a candle ... hubby having the guys over for cards (and cigars), you must light a candle ... having a birthday party, you gotta have candles for those too ... a romantic night alone with the hubby, candles would obviously be part of that equation ... a spa day with your daughter at home - CANDLES, need I go on about the occasions for candles, or do you get the picture. I guess, for me, candles are a lifestyle, and a business, although right now, just more of a lifestyle. Or maybe I should have just said " Hello, My name is Jammi, and I am a candle-holic" (is there such a thing). I am sorry to say I have become a candle snob too - only the best for me - I get them at wholesale prices now. So, as you can see "My Too Scents" won !
Now I'm ranting, sorry. I should stop this one before I go on about the different types of waxes, and wicks, and candle bruning safety tips, and such (sometimes I can be such a candle geek).
Anyway, thanks for stopping by and checking out my blog. I promise to be more interesting in future posts (not geekish at all - I hope).
